The Scarlet-Chested Parakeet also known as the Splendid Parakeet is a beautiful bird. Some say it is a delicate member of the Grass Parakeets family, however with proper housing and nutrition these birds can thrive. There are many mutations of the scarlet ranging from a beautiful lutino to a white-fronted blue, and various other mutations. The bright colors of this bird make it stand out in any aviary. |
